Farmer’s Daughters is all about celebrating the greatest of great Gippsland produce and producers, which makes High Steaks the perfect opportunity to pull focus on one of Australia’s most respected names in beef.
The O’Connor family have been sourcing the finest quality beef in South Gippsland for three generations. A prime rib and eye fillet of their best work, dry aged on the bone to peak excellence, form the centrepiece of this very special lunch at one of Melbourne’s hottest new addresses.
Be greeted with Farmer’s Daughters very dirty Dirtroad Martini featuring 3608 Nagambie Gin and olives four ways, then settle in with chef Alejandro Saravia’s house-baked soda bread and cultured cream, and Cherry Tree Organics lamb tartare.
Then comes the steak: dry-aged O’Connor beef in the form of wood-roasted prime rib and eye fillet char-grilled on the bone served with condiments including mountain pepper mustard, plus sides of fries made with Jones potatoes, and sugarloaf cabbage with seaweed vinegar.
To finish, three Gippsland cheeses will be served with honeycomb, chutney and lavosh, and a selection of great Gippsland wines will be available from the cellar.
