Event Details
The Lost Lands is the brainchild of Simon and Mella, a husband and wife duo, who collectively founded and ran The Falls Music & Arts Festival for 20 years. After their second child six years ago, they moved on to other adventures.
Inspired by long weekend campouts with their family and friends, they gave birth to a new festival – The Lost Lands! A magical experience, where families can dance, unleash their creativity and enjoy breathtaking performances together.
They searched long and hard for the right location and found the perfect fit in Werribee Mansion, with its castle-like buildings, giant trees and lush gardens. Naturally evoking a sense of wonder and magic, it’s the ideal place for people to relax and enjoy the festival nestled amongst a beautiful landscape.
Simon curates our music program and the festival’s Artistic Director, Ian Pidd brings his trade-mark colour and energy, finding surprising and wonderful things for our theatre and arts program. Lots of stuff that is hands-on, lots of delightful artists and shows that you have never heard of, and plenty of well known acts too.
The festival can only happen thanks to our wonderful team. Simon, Mella and Ian are joined by our management team Charmaine, Sophie, Meg, Taryn and Oakies, and a huge number of incredible staff and passionate volunteers.
The Lost Lands is a welcoming space for people to come together and share meaningful experiences. A natural wonderland where kids and adults can escape digital screens and connect with each other. The festival offers a diverse program of music, theatre, comedy, workshops and installations.
We invite families to join us on this spectacular adventure and create life-long memories in a safe and relaxed environment. Discover extraordinary worlds and delightful surprises as you explore our wondrous parklands!
